Agricultural productivity in Kenya is increasingly under threat due to soil degradation, crop disease, and pest infestation. Most of Kenya’s farming population comprises smallholder farmers, who are particularly vulnerable as they lack the resources and tools to detect these challenges early. This leads to lower productivity and worsening economic conditions for farming households.

AgriTech Analytics combines satellite imagery, IoT sensors, and advanced data analytics to provide smallholder farmers with soil diagnostics, crop yield predictions, and early detection of pests and diseases. With a 97% accuracy rate, its technology helps farmers take proactive measures to protect their crops and optimize yields. By delivering actionable insights that are easy to understand and act on, the company empowers smallholders to improve their farms' productivity and sustainability.

Climate and Nature Impact

AgriTech Analytics’ insights have enabled farmers to adopt regenerative agriculture practices, switch to organic alternatives, and secure credit through innovative collateral solutions like its Crop Yield Prediction tool. Farmers can now detect crop pests and diseases in real time, perform soil diagnostics easily and affordably, and access reports and alerts via their phones. These practices support farmers’ resilience, reduce their climate vulnerability, and improve their livelihoods.

Fundraising and Expansion Plan

AgriTech Analytics is raising USD 1.8 million to scale within Kenya’s smallholder farmer market to 350,000 users by 2028. Key expansion efforts include increasing sensor production by 1,000 units and establishing three additional regional offices to strengthen farmer and stakeholder engagement. The funds will also enhance the technological capabilities of AgriTech Analytics' sensors by expanding their disease-pest detection radius, integrating local weather stations, and upgrading the mobile app’s functionality (FarmPulse). Investment in R&D will support further trials and pilot projects, while training and recruitment efforts aim to double farmer training capacity—from 450 to over 1,000 per month—and expand the field scout team.
